I’m safe!

Hello my beautiful community!

As I know some of you have read, and others might soon see – missiles are currently being fired from gaza into Israel.  So far they have gone as far as Tel Aviv, but I am about as far North as one could get, so there is no need to worry about me! I am safe!

Interestingly, today I went on a day trip to Ein Gedi and the Dead Sea (the lowest place on earth).  I had a really amazing day hiking and floating! On our drive home we heard about all of the current events taking place.  It’s very interesting, one of the leaders on my program posted on facebook:

IDF spokesman has requested that no one posts anything on Facebook about where rockets and grads are falling and where sirens are being heard. Hamas intelligence can see all these posts and it can inadvertently help them with where to aim their rockets! Everyone Share this.

So there you have it.  I can’t share much, but check out this informative article to read up on the current events.

Heather and I at Ein Gedi
Justin, Abby and I, floatin’ along.

Tension fills the air, but life still goes on here.  My madricha once said to me, “Julie, don’t  you know what they say about us Jews? We fight, we win, we eat.  Are you hungry?”

I’m easily reachable by facebook or gmail, so please feel free to send me a message. It’s always nice to hear from you!

Sending you love and light,

:),

  1. Julie, I’ve been thinking about you and so happy that you are safe and enjoying your adventures. When I was 15 , I went to Israel for 2 months with BBYO. We spent about 5 days at the Ein Gedi Field School, hiking daily before our grand trek up to Masada. I saw a spider there the size of my shoe and then actually had a scorpion in my laced up tennis shoe….which I realized after it pinched my toe. Great memories…Have a blast! Shake out your clothes while in the desert! Love and Light Jules, right back at ya! Holly
